velia.net Internetdienste GmbH operates its own autonomous high-speed network. This IP network, with its redundant upstream concept and its own peering, can operate completely independently of individual suppliers and carriers.

We offer Internet service providers or companies with high IP upstream requirements the option of buying IP upstream, via either BGP4 or static routing, from telehouses that we make available.

Transfer is usually done via fast Ethernet or gigabit Ethernet (according to bandwidth requirements).

velia.net is a member of RIPE NCC, Amsterdam, the European Regional Internet Registry responsible for administering IP resources within Europe, and can therefore obtain IP resources direct from RIPE and can also do so on behalf of its customers.
